We all know 2020 was a year like no other. It was a year of both transformation and adjustments. We asked our Media Frenzy Global team to reflect on last year and tell us a lesson they have learned and will take with them as they enter the New Year. Their responses were personal and based on experiences and emotions we can all relate to.
“While this year has been very challenging for us all both personally and professionally, 2020 has taught me that being still can actually allow you to move mountains and spark growth within yourself and others. Stillness is what has been needed to center and ground myself, which in turn, inspired me to grow in many ways.”

“I learned the importance of ‘adapting to new expectations’ and the MFG team demonstrated this remarkably in terms of adapting to working from home which meant getting dressed and ready as if going to work, making sure the work environment is conducive to being effective, taking breaks, gaining a work life balance etc. I personally had to adapt to the same changing work environment with the added pressure of family life and parents in the UK that I could not visit and have not seen for 18 months. Zoom literally became a life line for me personally and professionally and it has proved the importance of technology and how much richer it makes our lives. Thank you @zoom.”

“This year has shown me the power of the shared human experiences. I think it’s so easy to get wrapped up in your own problems that you sometimes forget others have their own unique life challenges as well. But this year, we collectively had to experience something really impactful to the human race. It has given me the opportunity to connect with people in ways I never thought I would.”
-Tawanda Carlton
“2020 has taught me the value of being adaptable and flexible. Our world has been turned upside down and everyone has been forced to change the way they live, work and interact with one another. There are always going to be things out of our control, but it is how we respond to them is what matters most. “
-Matthew Kaiserman
“2020 has taught me to Marie Kondo my relationships. I have released people and things that do not bring me joy. This has resulted in deeper and more meaningful connections. I have also learned how powerful my voice can be when speaking out about racial injustices, women’s rights, and civic responsibilities.”
-Alana Leverette
“Outside pressure can fracture relationships or forge them stronger. Having to spend more time with my family has reminded me why I love each of them and how blessed I am to have them in my life. We do more together now, including working as a team to manage the household and simply enjoying each other’s company.”
